The German newspaper reported, citing government sources, that after nearly four years, the special status for newly arrived Ukrainians will be revoked. The asylum seeker allowance amounts to 441 euros (511 dollars), while those applying for unemployment benefits receive 563 euros.
On the other hand, the German newspaper mentioned that the unemployment benefit in 2026. Previously, it was reported that spending on unemployment benefits in Germany rose to a record level in 2024, reaching about 47 billion euros.
The German Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced that 6.4 billion euros of unemployment benefits were allocated to Ukrainians during the same year.
