Some remarked that “safety comes first” and questioned if anything is “worth risking one’s life.” Others urged the Indian government to improve infrastructure for enhanced safety in the region.

According to The Indian Express, Kamla Devi explained she was hurrying to reach a newborn. “The mother couldn’t come for immunization due to the weather,” she said.

In Himachal Pradesh, monsoon rains have resulted in 303 deaths since June 20, including 155 from rain-related incidents like flash floods, drowning, lightning, and cloudbursts, while 148 were due to road accidents, as reported by ANI.
