Zadeh made these statements during his speech at the public session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly in Iran, to discuss and evaluate the implementation mechanism of the first year of the Seventh Five-Year Plan for the development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, according to the Iranian News Agency (IRNA). The minister explained that during the first year of the development program, his ministry executed “a series of measures aimed at enhancing the participation of the private sector and non-governmental institutions in the country’s defense projects,” adding that “the ministry cooperates with more than 8,200 private companies, including 1,454 knowledge-based companies.” He also pointed out that “the Ministry of Defense is working on developing dual-use technologies in the fields of oil and gas, marine industries, and the production of special chemicals for gas fragrance, alongside cooperation with the government in civil aviation projects, marine platforms, and smart control systems for water and electricity.” Regarding the space and aviation industry, Zadeh clarified that “Iran has made significant progress in manufacturing satellites and launch vehicles,” referring to the satellite projects “Jamaran” and “Keyhan,” and the launch carriers “Simorgh” and “Zuljanah.” Zadeh concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the Ministry of Defense continues its full support for the police forces (Faraja) and the Basij forces, calling on parliament and the government to “enhance financial support for these vital sectors to ensure continued defense and national development,” as he put it.
On the night of June 13th, a military operation was launched against Iran, accusing it of “seeking a secret military nuclear program,” with air raids and sabotage attacks targeting nuclear facilities, prominent military leaders, nuclear physicists, and Iranian airbases. In turn, Iran denied these accusations and responded with its own attacks. Subsequently, Iran launched missile attacks on the American Al-Udeid Air Base on the evening of June 23rd, declaring that “Iran does not intend any further escalation.” Then, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed hope that “the attack on the American military base in Qatar has eased tensions with Iran, and that the path to peace and harmony in the Middle East is now possible.” He also announced that “Israel and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire, which will officially end the 12-day war.”
