Hajj Hassan, in an interview with ‘Sputnik’ radio, confirmed that ‘Hezbollah’ has stated its position. There was an agreement last year under American, French, and UN sponsorship, and Lebanon committed to it, with Hezbollah guaranteeing full compliance. In contrast, Israel, under American sponsorship and protection, did not comply.
He emphasized that ‘Hezbollah’ announced this position and urged the Lebanese state and the agreement’s sponsors to fulfill their roles in implementing it. He stressed that ‘Hezbollah’ is clear in its stance on any negotiations with Israel; if not carefully considered and with a clear strategy, it will lead to more concessions.
He also stated that the conditions for negotiation are to maintain national constants and implement the agreement, revealing that the party is in constant communication with the Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri. He considered that Syria’s negotiation experience is clear, as Israel demands more with each negotiation.
Regarding the displacement of several southern residents, Hajj Hassan said, ‘It is natural for people to take precautions and measures, and it is natural for every family to fear for their children,’ adding, ‘We will follow up on the details and developments.’
