Dbeibeh stated that Libya presented a comprehensive vision during the summit to enhance regional coordination on irregular migration issues. This approach addresses the root causes rather than just dealing with the outcomes. He emphasized that “Our countries will not and will never accept the resettlement of irregular migrants on our lands,” reflecting Libya’s adherence to its sovereignty and rejection of externally imposed solutions, according to a statement obtained by Sputnik.
The head of the “Interim National Unity Government” added that “Libya is reclaiming its role today as an active partner in the region, moving confidently towards comprehensive stability that reinforces the authority of the state, serves the interests of the Mediterranean peoples, and opens new horizons for integration and joint development.”
Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh pointed out that “regional partnerships, based on fair economic cooperation and political coordination, represent a fundamental pillar for building a true stability system in the region, especially amid the rising challenges related to migration, energy, and security.”
This trilateral summit is an important milestone in the path of regional dialogue, as Libya seeks through it to cement its position as an effective partner contributing to the formulation of realistic and sustainable solutions to the region’s problems.
