Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto mentioned his country’s readiness to host a Russian-American-Ukrainian summit, ensuring the security of all participants in this summit. Earlier today, Thursday, the White House announced that President Donald Trump’s administration is continuing its efforts with Russia and Ukraine to organize a bilateral meeting between Moscow and Kyiv aimed at ending the ongoing military conflict.

A White House official stated, “President Trump and his national security team are continuing to communicate with Russian and Ukrainian officials to prepare for a bilateral meeting aimed at stopping the fighting and ending the conflict.” According to Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, Trump and Putin agreed on the necessity of continuing direct negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations, with a view to raising the level of representation of the negotiators.

It is noteworthy that the Russian and American presidents held a meeting on August 15 dedicated to discussing ways to settle the Ukrainian conflict.
