The event showcased two models of the robot: a desktop version and a fully articulated one. Developers assert that “Idol” is the world’s first humanoid robot equipped with integrated artificial intelligence, capable of performing three main tasks: spatial movement, communication, and interaction with objects.
The robot is equipped with seven microphones that allow it to create a three-dimensional soundscape of its surroundings, enabling it to capture conversations in crowded places and distinguish when it is being addressed versus when communication is between other parties.
Alexey Yuzhakov, the head of the “New Technological Alliance” that developed the robot, stated, “The humanoid robot market is still in its early stages but holds immense potential.” “Idol” is currently undergoing tests in Russian and English, with plans to expand its range to include other languages based on requests from various entities.
