Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, and Tilak Varma are expected to lead the lineup, with Suryakumar Yadav batting at number 4.
There are rumors that Test captain Shubman Gill could be chosen as vice-captain, showcasing his leadership skills on the England tour.
Other contenders include Shreyas Iyer, Rinku Singh, Riyan Parag, and Washington Sundar. Jitesh Sharma and Yashavi Jaiswal are anticipated as the backup wicketkeeper and opener, respectively.
Jasprit Bumrah, a right-arm pacer, is ready for the tournament and will likely head the bowling squad with Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, and Harshit Rana.
The spinners expected to be selected are Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, and Ravi Bishnoi.

India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman are in Group A, while Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. India is the official host, yet matches in India or Pakistan will have neutral venues for three years, per an agreement between the BCCI and PCB.
Dubai will host 11 matches, and Abu Dhabi eight. The opener between Afghanistan and Hong Kong is set for September 9 in Abu Dhabi.
India’s first game is against UAE on September 10, and the highly anticipated match against Pakistan is on September 14, both in Dubai. India will face Oman on September 19 in Abu Dhabi.
Post group stage, the top two teams from each group advance to the Super 4, running from September 20 to 26. India’s matches will all be in Dubai if they top Group A; if second, one match will be in Abu Dhabi. The final is on September 28 in Dubai.
