Residents of the UAE can anticipate more comfortable weather in the coming weeks as temperatures gradually decrease across the region. This transition to milder conditions is perfect for enjoying outdoor activities and seasonal routines.

According to Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Emirates Astronomy Society and a member of the Arab Union for Space Sciences and Astronomy, this cooling trend is in line with expected seasonal patterns.

Starting September 20, nighttime temperatures are predicted to drop below 25ºC. However, the warmth will persist until the autumnal equinox on September 23, with high humidity that may cause early morning fog and dew.

The cooling will continue through October, with daytime highs falling below 35ºC by October 10 and nighttime lows dropping under 20ºC by October 20.

November promises even cooler days, with maximum temperatures remaining under 30ºC. By December, nighttime temperatures are expected to fall to a chilly 15ºC, signaling the onset of winter.

The UAE is transitioning from the intense summer heat to a milder autumn as the Safriya season began on September 6. This season officially marks the start of autumn, following the rise of the Al Jabha’ constellation, the first of the autumn constellations, which indicates a gradual change in weather.

The appearance of the Suhail star in UAE skies on August 25 also marked the beginning of cooler autumn weather.
