Queuing Since Early Morning

Rehman, who acquired four iPhone 16s last year, has returned to grab the latest iPhone 17. He pre-ordered two units this year: a base model and a Pro Max.

He reached Dubai Mall at 3 a.m. and saw about 20 people already in line.

Extensive Queues and Barricades

With the eagerly awaited iPhone 17 launching today, queues have been forming since 5 a.m.

At Dubai Mall, lines twist around the area, with some even waiting near the fountain, two floors beneath the main Apple Store. At Mall of the Emirates, only customers with pre-set appointments are permitted entry.

For the first time in years, Apple is not allowing walk-ins for the iPhone 17 series—including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max—at UAE Apple Stores on launch day.

Last year, you could reserve your iPhone and visit the store at a designated time to pay and collect your device.

This year, however, collection in-store is only possible after online pre-ordering.
