Araqchi responded to a question from a reporter at Tasnim News Agency: “This information is unreliable.” On Friday, the “Amwaj” site, which specializes in Iranian affairs, reported that Araqchi presented Witkoff with a draft agreement concerning the Iranian nuclear program, amid threats of reimposing United Nations sanctions on the Islamic Republic.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry criticized the decision, stating that Tehran reserves the right to respond appropriately. They believe that if international sanctions are reimposed on Iran, the responsibility for the consequences lies with the United States and the three European countries – France, Germany, and the United Kingdom – which initiated the reimposition of the sanctions.
