Nasirzadeh explained in a televised interview that the Iranian Ministry of Defense is responsible for building the defense infrastructure, developing industries, and supplying the armed forces with all their needs according to the requirements of the era and the battlefield.
In response to a question about how Iran would react if the enemy acted foolishly again, he said: “We certainly have a tool that has not been used before. We did not use our advanced equipment in the last imposed war,” explaining that “missiles are one of our tools,” according to Iran’s Tasnim News.
He added that the attacks targeting the Ministry of Defense and infrastructure at the beginning of the war did not stop military production. Instead, the ministry continued to support the armed forces and families, at a time when the country faced a hybrid war that included cyber and economic domains.
Brigadier General Nasirzadeh continued his explanation of the country’s defense capabilities, saying: “There is no invulnerable defense in the world, and examples include the strongest defense systems, such as the ‘Patriot’ and the ‘Iron Dome,’ which Israel used in a very small geographical area of the occupied territories, but they could not completely prevent the penetration of attacks.”
Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh emphasized that the combination of hard and soft power, along with national cohesion, were decisive factors in repelling attacks and achieving deterrence. He confirmed that developing defense and economic industries, including food security projects, is part of the ministry’s strategy to enhance the country’s resilience against any future aggression.
