The Iranian news agency IRNA reported on Tuesday evening that Mohajerani’s statements were made during her press conference regarding the Iranian Shura Council’s decisions on dealing with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Mohajerani stated, “We believe that Resolution 2231 (issued by the UN Security Council regarding the Iranian nuclear program in 2015) has expired. Therefore, Iran’s nuclear dealings are subject to the Safeguards Agreement.”

She emphasized that “Tehran’s dealings with the IAEA will be in accordance with the Iranian Shura Council’s laws.”

This week, the three European Union countries (Germany, France, the United Kingdom) and the United States, during a meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors, which includes 35 countries, demanded that Iran provide answers and allow access to its nuclear facilities and enriched uranium stocks that were bombed (last June), according to American media.

On the night of June 22, the United States launched strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan, following Israel’s initiation of a military operation on the night of the 13th of the same month, accusing Iran of executing a secret military nuclear program. The operation targeted nuclear facilities, military leaders, and Iranian nuclear scientists.
