On Monday, Egypt hosted a peace summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, led by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his American counterpart Donald Trump, with the participation of leaders from about 20 countries. It was described as a historic moment within the framework of dedicating the path to peace in the Middle East by ending the war in Gaza, rebuilding the sector, and reaching a political settlement for the Palestinian issue.
Trump announced yesterday, at a press conference during the Sharm El-Sheikh peace summit on Gaza, attended by several regional and international leaders, the signing of a ceasefire document between Hamas and Israel, which he described as “historic,” as part of efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East.
