The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that there was no plan to destroy any targets in Poland during the large-scale attack carried out by the Russian Armed Forces on Ukrainian defense industry facilities on the night of September 10. The ministry reported that on Wednesday night, the Russian army launched a wide-ranging attack on Ukrainian defense industry facilities in the regions of Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, as well as Vinnytsia and Lviv. The ministry noted that the objectives of the wide-scale attack were achieved, and all designated targets were destroyed.

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed its readiness to hold consultations with its Polish counterpart regarding the drones allegedly crossing the border. The ministry stated in a release: “Nonetheless, we are prepared to hold consultations with the Polish Ministry of Defense on this issue.”

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk claimed on Wednesday that drones, which he described as “Russian,” presented a “threat” and were shot down over Poland, but he did not provide any evidence. Later, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that more than ten drones were involved in the attack.

Russian Chargé d’Affaires Andrei Ordash told the Sputnik agency that Poland has not provided any evidence of the alleged Russian origin of the drones shot down over its territory. Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that he was unaware of any requests from the Polish leadership to communicate with the Kremlin. He also pointed out that the leadership of the European Union and NATO accuse Russia daily of provocations without attempting to provide any arguments.
