The Israeli newspaper “Maariv” reported on Wednesday evening that Israel’s assistance to Taiwan comes “amid growing fears in Taiwan of a Chinese military threat.” It was explained that Taiwan’s Deputy Minister of Defense, Fu Hong Hui, visited Israel in September 2025 in complete secrecy. The purpose of the visit was to promote the “Dome-T” project and discuss details of transferring advanced military technology.
The visit was kept away from the eyes of the media and the public to avoid provoking China, which considers Taiwan an integral part of its territory. The cooperation involves transferring advanced Israeli technology, similar to the “EL/M-2084 Green Pine” and the famous “Arrow-2” systems.
The newspaper pointed out that there has been an unusual diplomatic disagreement between Israel and China recently. This occurred when the Chinese embassy in Tel Aviv responded sharply to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements that China and Qatar are trying to impose an “information blockade” on Israel using artificial intelligence technologies and social media networks.
The theory behind Israel’s Iron Dome system relies on creating a multi-layered air defense network that includes several defense systems, each specialized in covering specific altitudes and distances. They work in integration, enabling them to counter all threats, from very short-range ones intercepted near the Earth’s surface to ballistic missiles intercepted in or even outside the Earth’s atmosphere.
