In his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Trump emphasized the need to end the war in Gaza immediately and release the remaining hostages. He stated, “We must end the war in Gaza immediately, we must stop it, we have to do it, we must start negotiations immediately, we must negotiate peace, we must return the hostages.” He pointed out that some countries are seeking to recognize the Palestinian state “unilaterally,” considering this to be “a reward for Hamas for the atrocities they committed, as they refuse or ceasefire.” Trump emphasized, “We need to end the war in Gaza now, negotiate peace, and return the twenty hostages, not two or four.” He also mentioned the issue of bodies, saying, “We also want the 38 bodies, and they want the bodies of their children as if they were alive.” World leaders gather in New York every September to deliver speeches over several days at the United Nations General Assembly, which begins its 80th session on Tuesday. World leaders will seek solutions to global challenges to enhance peace, security, and sustainable development under the theme “Together We Achieve Better: 80 Years and More for Peace, Development, and Human Rights.” After eight decades since its establishment, the United Nations remains the only place on earth where countries can meet to address their differences and find common ground, contributing to shaping their shared future.
