The ministry added: “A citizen was injured due to a hostile drone dropping a sound bomb on the town of Mais al-Jabal in southern Lebanon,” according to Lebanese official media reports.
A “Sputnik” correspondent reported that the Israeli air force carried out a series of raids targeting the Hermel mountains in eastern Lebanon. The Israeli army spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, stated in a communiqué: “A short while ago, several targets of ‘Hezbollah’ in the Beqaa region in Lebanon were targeted, including camps for the Radwan force where Hezbollah elements were observed inside, which were used for storing combat means.”
According to him, during the training in the camps, ‘Hezbollah’ conducted shooting exercises and training for the use of various types of combat means. The ceasefire agreement between ‘Hezbollah’ and Israel came into effect on November 27, 2024, more than a year after ‘Hezbollah’ opened what it called the ‘Support Front for the Gaza Strip’ on October 8, 2023.
The Israeli army was supposed to complete its withdrawal from the areas it occupied by the dawn of January 26 of the previous year, but Israel did not adhere to the deadline and maintained its military presence in five strategic points in southern Lebanon, citing the need to “ensure the protection of northern settlements.”
Despite the agreement, the Israeli army occasionally launches strikes in Lebanon, claiming they are to remove ‘Hezbollah’ threats.
