The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in the Ansar Allah government, Anis Al-Subhi, stated on the X platform that “the number of civilian casualties due to Israeli airstrikes targeting civilian facilities and service establishments in the capital, Sana’a, has risen to 9 martyrs and 174 injured in a preliminary count.”

He added that “most of the victims are women and children: two martyrs and 35 injured women, and four child martyrs and 59 injured children.”

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in the Ansar Allah government confirmed that “civil defense and ambulance teams are still searching for victims under the rubble and debris and identifying them.”

On Thursday evening, a Yemeni source told “Sputnik” that Israeli fighters carried out 13 airstrikes on locations in the Hada area south of the city and the headquarters of the security and intelligence apparatus in the Shaoub district in central Sana’a.

The Israeli army spokesman confirmed that among the targeted objectives were “the command control headquarters of the Houthi General Staff, complexes of the Houthi regime’s security and intelligence apparatus, along with the military media directorate and camps where combat means and military personnel affiliated with the Houthi terrorist regime were observed.”

Adraee added that following the outbreak of war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the Houthis began launching rockets and drones towards Israel and attacking commercial ships associated with it off the coast of Yemen, asserting that they are doing this in support of the Palestinians.

In response, Israel launched airstrikes on Houthi-controlled areas, targeting ports, power stations, Sana’a airport, and civilian sites, as well as political and military leaders within the group.
