According to the Israeli Ministry of Defense, about 58% of those treated in rehabilitation centers since the beginning of the war suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder and other psychological disorders. Furthermore, among 22,000 soldiers, approximately 63% are reserve soldiers, according to the Times of Israel.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense stated that the Rehabilitation Administration cares for a total of 82,400 injured veterans, including those from previous wars. The budget for the Rehabilitation Administration is 8.3 billion shekels, with 4.1 billion shekels allocated for treating those with psychological disorders, according to the ministry.

Under the agreement, the group of 20, who survived since the events of October 7, 2023, were released in exchange for Israel releasing around 2,000 Palestinian detainees from Gaza, including those serving long sentences.
