The Times of Israel reported, citing the Israeli army, that the Skylark 3 drone was on a reconnaissance mission when it was forced to make an emergency landing in northern Gaza due to a technical malfunction. The army added that there is no risk of information leakage from the drone.
Palestinian media circulated a video showing the Israeli reconnaissance drone after it fell in Gaza, surrounded by local residents, some of whom attempted to destroy the drone.
It is noted that the Skylark drone is a tactical reconnaissance UAV manufactured by Elbit Systems and operated by the Israeli army’s artillery unit. In recent years, several of these drones have crashed in military operation areas.
Adraee explained in a statement that the operation included pumping more than 20,000 cubic meters of sealing materials through a special system that extended over a distance of 4.5 kilometers, from the border fence area near the town of Netiv HaAsara to the depth of the tunnel path.
