The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported, citing sources, that settlers also stormed the Marj Si’a plain, located between the villages of Al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah, where they were confronted by local residents. It is noted that the region witnessed a similar incursion yesterday, Friday, during which settlers cut down dozens of olive trees owned by citizen Atef Hamayel.

Earlier, the far-right Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced the approval of plans to establish new settlements aimed at separating East Jerusalem from the West Bank and linking it with the settlement of Ma’ale Adumim. This move is considered by the international community as a violation of international law and a threat to the establishment of a Palestinian state.

The minister indicated that the project is being carried out “in full coordination with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and our friends in the United States,” announcing that Netanyahu “is working on bringing in one million new settlers” to the West Bank, which he described as “an integral part of Israel’s sovereignty.”
