Israeli Travel Advisory to UAE Amid Security Concerns

The website mentioned that the decision came following a warning issued by the Israeli National Security Council advising against travel to the UAE, citing the increasing activity of armed groups seeking “revenge on Israel” in the wake of the media campaign about hunger conditions in the Gaza Strip. According to the site, the decision includes the embassy staff in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai, with Ambassador Yossi Shli set to be the last to be evacuated.

Earlier, the Israeli National Security Council had emphasized that Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, and global jihadist organizations are intensifying their efforts to target Israel during this period. The council noted that the UAE has long been under a level-three travel warning, which advises avoiding non-essential trips, recommending “serious consideration before traveling to the country.”

The security recommendations stressed the need to minimize personal documents while traveling, adhere to local security instructions, and provide travel details to first-degree relatives in Israel. They also urged against posting photos or information about the visit in real time and advised not to discuss security or military backgrounds with unknown parties.

Additionally, it urged caution against cyber fraud attempts, with a necessity to verify the identity of any online contacts and to avoid opening files or sending personal data without ensuring credibility.
