Israeli Troops Advance Further into Gaza
Overnight Tuesday, the Israeli military initiated a ground operation in Gaza City, pushing troops into the heart of Gaza’s largest urban area, according to a military official.
“We are progressing towards the center of Gaza City,” he stated. When questioned if the troops had penetrated deeper into central Gaza City, he affirmed: “Yes.”
“Last night, we moved into the next stage, the main phase of our Gaza City strategy… IDF southern command forces have extended their ground operations into Hamas’s primary stronghold in Gaza, which is Gaza City,” he explained.
Speaking to Reuters, an Israeli military official mentioned that the number of troops in Gaza City will increase as days progress.
