Located at the strategic junction of Asia, Africa, and Europe, Dubai is perfectly positioned. Combined with JAFZA’s tax-free zone benefits and re-export infrastructure, it serves not only the UAE but the broader region. This location offers reduced transit times and access to rapidly growing markets.

JD.com, also known as Jingdong, a leading tech and service company with a core focus on supply chain, has launched a new warehouse in Dubai. This marks JD.com’s first asset investment in the UAE, facilitated through its platform, Jingdong Property, and managed by Jingdong Logistics. Situated in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), the warehouse spans over 10,000 square meters.

“With our Middle Eastern warehouses, we bring nearly two decades of logistics expertise, warehousing strategies, and supply chain management, showcasing our capability in building smart logistics ecosystems across various sectors. This allows us to enhance partnerships with existing clients and attract new business for mutual success,” stated Feng Guo, General Manager of JD.com, Middle East.

This new warehouse increases Jingdong Logistics’ facilities in the UAE to six and represents JD.com’s inaugural investment in the region via Jingdong Property.

Housing nearly one million items, the Dubai warehouse maintains an outbound punctuality rate over 99.9%. “Our network in the UAE and the Middle East supports global companies aiming to expand or refine their regional operations. Currently, our warehouses serve numerous local and international clients across industries like e-commerce, automotive, electronics, and more,” Feng elaborated.

The Middle East’s strategic position is vital in JD’s global framework.

“The UAE has been a crucial market for our logistics expansion. Since our first overseas warehouse opened in Jebel Ali Port in 2020, Jingdong Logistics has established six UAE warehouses, offering comprehensive supply chain solutions that include cross-border transport and local distribution,” Feng noted. “These investments aim to bolster infrastructure, support economic growth, and create more opportunities for local and global trade,” he added.

JD plans continued investments in the Middle East, building on Dubai’s success to further local supply chain and regional economic growth in collaboration with local authorities. In July, Jingdong Property partnered with Abu Dhabi Airports Free Zone (ADAFZ) to develop a 70,000 m² advanced logistics facility. “This will be our first self-developed project in the Middle East, designed as a high-tech, fully digitalized, and automated warehouse, addressing cross-border e-commerce demands and enhancing logistics in the GCC and MENA regions,” Feng stated.
