The former partner of renowned French chef Jean Imbert has accused him of domestic violence, as per a document obtained by AFP on Monday.

Lila Salet, aged 33, filed the complaint on Saturday, alleging incidents from 2012 to 2013 while she was dating the 44-year-old Top Chef winner, according to Elle magazine.

Salet, a former actress, claims in her complaint that Imbert repeatedly slapped her and restricted her to a hotel.

She proceeded with the complaint after joining three other former partners of Imbert from the Hotel Plaza Athenee in Paris, who accused him of abuse in an April Elle interview.

Imbert, who gained fame from winning Top Chef and later became a social media influencer, has refuted the allegations.

Ex-Miss France Alexandra Rosenfeld initially spoke anonymously, claiming on Instagram that over a decade ago, Imbert broke her nose, supported by an X-ray.

A representative for Imbert expressed his “deep regret” and stated the nose injury occurred during “a moment of violence” when Imbert was grabbed and “freed himself”.

Salet mentioned that Rosenfeld’s account motivated her to come forward with her own complaint.

“He was violent with me,” she confirmed, revealing initial doubts about Rosenfeld’s story until the injury was verified.

“It reignited my anger, especially since I filed a complaint in 2013 but withdrew it out of compassion,” Salet explained.

“I seek justice and for the truth to be known,” she asserted.
