In the GCC, nearly 25% of women experience urinary or fecal incontinence, a condition often hidden due to stigma. This issue affects work, family life, daily health, and spiritual practices, and is exacerbated by increasing rates of diabetes, obesity, prostate problems, and neurological disorders. To address this pressing health concern, Abu Dhabi will host the inaugural Middle East urological conference from 17–20 September 2025, bringing together the International Continence Society (ICS) and the Emirates Urological Society (EUS).

ICS-EUS 2025 will gather global and regional specialists to highlight the latest advancements in continence care, prioritize patient-centric approaches, and advocate for prevention, holistic health, and culturally aware treatment throughout the region.

This four-day event is essential for urologists, gynecologists, geriatricians, physiotherapists, nurses, allied health professionals, and anyone dedicated to enhancing continence care in the GCC. Attendees will benefit from interactive workshops, expert-led roundtables, and pioneering lectures, providing them with practical knowledge to improve patient outcomes immediately.

“ICS-EUS is more than just a scientific gathering; it’s an opportunity to break the silence surrounding incontinence, reduce stigma, and offer real solutions to patients,” stated Dr. John Heesakkers, General Secretary of ICS.

Participants will also delve into the digital transformation in continence care, including AI-powered diagnostics, mobile monitoring, and tailored treatment plans. EUS will conduct four hands-on workshops and four expert-led roundtables, covering major urology sub-specialties such as Andrology, Urolithiasis, Uro-Oncology, and Urotechnology. These sessions offer practical mentorship alongside scientific education.

Dr. Yasser Saeedi, President of EUS, remarked, “ICS-EUS 2025 provides a unique platform for clinicians to gain insights, share best practices, and network with both regional and global peers.” Studies indicate overweight women face a 35% increased risk of urinary incontinence, with obesity nearly doubling the risk. In the UAE, about 30% of adults are obese, and over 17% have diabetes, worsening the incontinence challenge.

The conference is accredited with 28.5 European CME credits and 23.5 CPD hours. GCC participants can enjoy a 25% discount on registration and a Buy One Get One Free deal on EUS workshops until 7th September 2025.
