Kuwaiti Operation Uncovers Document Forgery Gang

According to the Kuwaiti newspaper ‘Al-Qabas,’ this operation was conducted under the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Youssef Saud Al-Sabah, as part of security coordination with the Arab Republic of Egypt during recent official visits.

Investigations revealed that the gang was forging government documents, including work permits, salary and profession modifications, civil ID data, forged bank statements, and fake salary certificates to meet European embassies’ requirements.

The investigations led to the identification of the suspects as follows: After obtaining permission from the Public Prosecution, the suspects’ premises were raided. Computers and printers used in the forgery, flash drives containing forged documents, and passports used in fraudulent operations were seized. Several individuals who obtained visas illegally (of Egyptian nationality) were also apprehended.

It was found that the gang targeted workers holding Article (18) working in the private sector, enticing them to travel to Europe for amounts ranging from 950 to 1500 Kuwaiti Dinars. The investigations showed that some victims had already traveled to European countries using these forged documents.
