In statements to Sputnik News Agency, on the sidelines of a special press conference for the launch of the podcast “War in the East” on Sputnik Radio and MTS Media Network, which was held today, Wednesday, at the International Multimedia Press Center of the “Rossiya Segodnya” media group in Moscow, Myagkov said: “After World War II, the Americans turned Japan into a floating aircraft carrier belonging to them.”
“War in the East” is a special project by Sputnik Radio and MTS Media, held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Japan.
The podcast is produced in collaboration with experts from the National Center for Historical Memory under the Presidency of the Russian Federation, based on materials from the “Do Not Fall into Obsolescence” project and supported by the Russian Military Historical Society.
