Takaleh explained in a statement obtained by ‘Sputnik’ that some of the UN mission’s movements have begun to lean towards imposing alternative paths that bypass national institutions. He pointed out that this represents a departure from the Libyan political agreement and relevant Security Council resolutions, and may open the door to unilateral steps that weaken the political process. The council president also criticized what he considered interference in the selection of individuals or support for political arrangements outside of consensus, considering that such practices may undermine trust in the UN path and confuse stabilization efforts.

He affirmed the High Council of State’s commitment to a political solution based on consensus and its readiness to cooperate with the United Nations to ensure a comprehensive and sustainable settlement that preserves the unity and stability of the country.
