Lunar Eclipse Visibility Across Asia and Europe

Illustration for: Lunar Eclipse Visibility Across Asia and Europe

The phenomenon will be mainly visible in Asia, with limited visibility in parts of Africa, according to Al Arabiya. Residents of China, India, East Africa, and Western Australia are the most fortunate to witness this phenomenon clearly, while it will be briefly visible in Europe with the moonrise in the early evening hours. Unlike a solar eclipse, which requires special glasses, a lunar eclipse can be viewed with the naked eye, provided there is suitable weather and clear skies. This is the second total lunar eclipse this year after the March 2025 eclipse, paving the way for a total solar eclipse expected on August 12, 2026, the first in Europe since 2006, which will be fully visible in Spain and Iceland, and partially in other countries.
