Morgulov told Sputnik: “As far as I know, extensive preparations are underway to sign a number of agreements on major projects in the field of bilateral practical cooperation.”
He added that if significant agreements are reached between the ministries and major companies of the two countries, it will be announced after the meeting of the two presidents.
Morgulov noted that the mutual support for the celebratory events marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War in Moscow and the victory over military Japan in Beijing is an important personal agreement between Putin and Xi Jinping. “It reflects the high level of bilateral relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction, demonstrating the historical military brotherhood of our peoples.”
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit will be held in Tianjin, China, from August 31 to September 1. On September 3, China will hold a military parade in Tiananmen Square to commemorate the Chinese people’s resistance against Japanese aggression and World War II.
