The police indicated that this operation is considered the largest campaign against phone theft in the British capital, where many incidents of this type are recorded, especially around tourist attractions.
The police arrested 46 people in connection with this operation, including 11 individuals as part of an investigation into attacks on delivery vehicles carrying new phones.
A report from a British magazine revealed that the ports of London have become a hub, with the number of stolen vehicles in the country increasing by about 75% in recent years.
The theft does not stop at cars and phones, as British farmers are now suffering from thefts that are smuggled through the ports to Europe.
