Malath, a pioneering platform in the region, is a testament to the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children’s dedication to ensuring privacy and support for women facing abuse.

As a secure digital refuge, it provides women with safe access to psychosocial support, free from fear and limitations of time and place.

Shaikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director General of the Foundation, highlighted that Malath is a secure, user-friendly platform offering guidance and self-help resources tailored to women’s emotional and social needs, all while maintaining complete privacy.

By combining artificial intelligence with empathy, the platform turns technology into a tool for healing, understanding, and empowerment.

Malath, meaning shelter, was launched at GITEX Global 2025 and is the first AI-powered self-help guide for abused women in the region. It provides a private, intelligent, Arabic-speaking space for women to reflect, evaluate their situation, and start their journey to emotional recovery.

Through secure digital assessments, the platform analyzes indicators like anxiety, depression, and trauma, generating personalized reports to identify the user’s condition and the best rehabilitation path.

“Malath offers up to five specialized programs with 22 AI-led interactive sessions, covering problem-solving, empowerment, flexible thinking, belief reflection, and future planning. Each session ends with a short assessment to measure progress and understanding—all in a completely confidential setting,” she stated.

She stressed that privacy is central to Malath. “The system only requires minimal data and does not store or share personal information. The organization doesn’t access user details; all data is anonymized, securely processed, and solely used to enhance the platform’s quality and reach.”

In alignment with Dubai’s Social Agenda 33, this initiative strengthens the city’s commitment to improving quality of life and mental health for individuals and families. It also aligns with the government’s vision of developing AI-driven public services for faster, efficient, and human-centered care access.

Launched on October 13 at GITEX Global 2025, the Malath app has received widespread acclaim for its innovative and compassionate approach. Increased digital engagement with the app signifies a shared belief: women deserve safe, stigma-free mental health support, wherever they are.

The Women and Children’s Welfare Foundation is currently assessing user feedback and exploring future collaborations with government, technology, and media partners to expand Malath’s regional reach.
