The MENA Golf Tour, a professional golf series in the Middle East and North Africa, is returning with a renewed focus on players.

This November, the region’s sole OWGR-recognized development tour will relaunch its 2025/2026 season in Portugal, offering larger prize funds, a 48-hour payout system, and clear pathways to prestigious stages like the HotelPlanner Tour and DP World Tour Qualifying School.

The message is clear: the MENA Tour wants to be the springboard for your professional aspirations.

“I’m committed to creating opportunities for people to fulfill their dreams, and that’s precisely what the MENA Golf Tour aims to achieve,” said Donna Benton, the Dubai-based entrepreneur and principal investor, who founded The Entertainer, a globally successful lifestyle savings app.

“Young golfers deserve fair compensation, swift payments, and a Tour that genuinely champions their success,” Benton adds. “With the Middle East’s strategic prowess, we’re poised to build something remarkable.”

The relaunch coincides with South Africa’s Thriston Lawrence, a former MENA Tour player, claiming his second OMEGA European Masters trophy, marking his fifth DP World Tour victory.

“Thriston exemplifies the potential of the MENA Golf Tour to foster rising stars,” said Keith Waters, the Tour’s new Chairman and Commissioner, formerly COO at the DP World Tour. “He gained crucial experience here, progressed to the DP World Tour, and now has multiple top-tier wins. We aim to nurture more success stories like his.”

12 events, big stakes

The 2025/26 season will consist of 12 events across the Middle East and Europe, including a Q-School. Each event will offer $100,000 in prize money, be played over 54 holes, and award world ranking points, reinforcing the Tour’s role as a vital stepping stone in global golf.

Benton concluded, “The Entertainer demonstrated that when you prioritize accessibility and value, the entire ecosystem thrives. The same applies here: prioritize players, pay them promptly, and provide a platform for them to excel, and the sport will flourish in this region.”

Full details on venues, dates, and entry will be announced soon.
