Millie Bobby Brown, renowned for her role in ‘Stranger Things’, announced she and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, have adopted a daughter. The 21-year-old actress shared this surprise on Instagram on Thursday, August 21.
“This summer, we welcomed our beloved baby girl through adoption,” she expressed. “We are thrilled to start this beautiful new chapter of parenthood, cherishing both peace and privacy. And now we are three. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.” Along with her message, Brown posted a picture of a willow tree.
Brown and Bongiovi, a 23-year-old actor and son of musician Jon Bon Jovi, began dating in 2021 and got engaged in 2023. They tied the knot in a private ceremony in May 2024.

Brown shot to international fame at 12 for her role as Eleven in the first season of Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’. She has been a part of every season and will conclude Eleven’s journey in the upcoming fifth and final season. ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 will release in three parts on Netflix later this year, with part 1 debuting on Thanksgiving, part 2 on Christmas, and the finale on New Year’s Eve.
Apart from ‘Stranger Things’, Brown is set to star in a third ‘Enola Holmes’ film with Netflix. Production began in April, reuniting her with co-stars Henry Cavill, who portrays Enola’s famous brother Sherlock Holmes, and others like Louis Partridge, Helena Bonham Carter, Himesh Patel, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster. Earlier this year, Brown featured in the Netflix and Russo Bros.’ film ‘The Electric State’ alongside Chris Pratt.
