The draft law, which was approved yesterday, Friday, is based on economic forecasts that include a growth rate of 4.5%, inflation not exceeding 2%, a price of $65 for a barrel of Brent oil, and an exchange rate of 10.007 dirhams to the dollar, amidst an international environment characterized by geopolitical uncertainty.

The project targets four main priorities: enhancing the kingdom’s takeoff, balancing economic development with social and territorial justice, consolidating the foundations of the social state, and accelerating structural reforms while maintaining the balance of public finances, according to an official Moroccan statement.

The draft law relies on boosting public investment and strengthening social programs within a strict budget management framework aimed at containing the deficit and reducing the cost of debt.

A total of 350 amendments were studied within the project, including 328 amendments to the first part and 22 to the second part, before being referred to the Council of Advisors for the completion of the legislative process and final approval.
