myAster Expands Healthcare Delivery in UAE

myAster, the leading omnichannel healthcare platform by Aster DM Healthcare, has extended its pharmacy and wellness delivery services beyond Dubai. Now offering 24/7 express delivery of medications, health supplements, beauty products, and daily wellness essentials, it reaches patients in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, and Ras Al Khaimah.

This expansion aligns with the GCC digital health market’s growth, expected at a 15.6% CAGR, reaching $2.7 billion by 2024. The UAE’s digital health sector, valued at $0.62 billion in 2024, is projected to grow at a 19.9% CAGR, reaching $1.84 billion by 2030.

The UAE’s e-pharmacy market, worth $550 million in 2022/23, is anticipated to grow at a 15.2% CAGR from 2024 to 2030.

The expansion is fueled by increasing demand for home delivery of prescription medications and a wide range of wellness and beauty products, including vitamins, skincare, and personal care items. Leveraging the success of myAster’s 60-minute delivery in Dubai, this model is now being expanded across other Emirates to provide more convenient and reliable healthcare access. This milestone signifies myAster’s transformation into a national digital health and wellness ecosystem.

CEO of Digital Health and E-Commerce at Aster DM Healthcare, Nalla Karunanithy, stated, “myAster was created to revolutionize healthcare access, making it quicker, simpler, and more dependable. This expansion is about more than convenience; it’s about creating a patient-centric health and wellness ecosystem. By extending our express delivery services to more Emirates, myAster addresses the evolving lifestyle and health needs of consumers who prioritize convenience and holistic wellbeing.”

Launched in July 2022, myAster has reshaped healthcare access in the region, becoming the UAE’s first integrated healthcare superapp. With over 2.8 million downloads, myAster has impacted more than 2 million lives in just three years. In FY24 alone, it facilitated over 1 million appointment bookings, with two-thirds of all Aster’s physical appointments now made via the app.
