The local site ‘Vanguard’ reported that the Nigerian Air Force managed to eliminate more than 30 Boko Haram militants in airstrikes after they stormed the village of Dar al-Jamal in Borno State.

The site indicated that the Borno State government had recently restored the village of Dar al-Jamal and resettled its residents after it had been destroyed and abandoned for many years.

On August 24, the Nigerian Air Force announced the elimination of 35 militants in airstrikes near the border with Cameroon, noting that the militants were planning to launch an attack on army positions in the northeast of the country.

Nigeria suffers from repeated attacks by terrorist groups linked to al-Qaeda and ISIS (banned in Russia and several countries) in the western region, in addition to Boko Haram and ISIS in the southeast.
