Nord Stream Sabotage Investigation

Moscow – Sputnik. Sikorski told reporters on Monday: “I spoke with the Ukrainian minister, who assured me that their citizen will receive the necessary consular assistance.” The Polish prosecutor’s office clarified that Germany sent Poland the necessary documents to execute the European arrest warrant against the suspect.

The Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines were subjected to explosions in September 2022, believed to be caused by sabotage. Meanwhile, the Russian prosecutor’s office opened an investigation into an act of terrorism, while Moscow has repeatedly stated that it has not received any data from other countries regarding the results of their investigations, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

In 2023, American journalist Seymour Hersh, a Pulitzer Prize winner, published an investigation reporting that explosive devices were placed under Russian gas lines in June 2022 during the “Baltic Ops” exercises by U.S. Navy divers with assistance from Norwegian specialists, indicating that the decision to carry out the operation was made by then-U.S. President Joe Biden.
