On Thursday, a Polish F-16 fighter jet crashed while preparing for an air show in Radom, resulting in the pilot’s death, according to a government spokesperson.
“A tragic incident occurred in Radom during air show preparations when an F-16 jet crashed, leading to the unfortunate death of the pilot,” Adam Szlapka announced on X. He also mentioned that the defense minister was en route to the crash site.
The Polish military confirmed that there were no injuries reported on the ground.

Videos from Polish media depicted the aircraft executing an acrobatic move before crashing in a fiery explosion on the runway.
The Radom air show, located about 100 kilometers (62 miles) south of Warsaw, is set for this weekend.
