Praise for Efforts in Gaza Amidst Tensions

The Central Command praised the Palestinian Forces Alliance factions and the sincere national efforts exerted by the Palestinian Ministry of Interior in the Gaza Strip, represented by the Palestinian police, during this sensitive and critical phase faced by our steadfast people against aggression and blockade.

The alliance commended the measures taken by the ministry to protect humanitarian aid convoys, ensure their delivery to those in need, and prevent any attacks or manipulation, all within the framework of transparency and national and humanitarian responsibility.

The Palestinian Forces Alliance called for the continuation of this wise security policy, which balances protecting the home front and safeguarding public freedoms, emphasizing the importance of maintaining civil peace and enhancing the spirit of solidarity and popular cohesion against aggression.

The alliance renewed its support for the efforts of the Ministry of Interior and all security agencies, affirming that internal unity and protecting the home front are among the most crucial factors for resilience and victory in the battle to defend our people and their national rights.

Hours after the ceasefire came into effect in the Gaza Strip, the Ministry of Interior in the sector, affiliated with the Palestinian Hamas movement, launched a security campaign in the area. In contrast, the Palestinian presidency on Tuesday condemned in the strongest terms what it described as “field executions affecting dozens of citizens in the Gaza Strip, outside the scope of the law and without any fair trials.”

Opponents of the Hamas movement see what is happening as an attempt to re-establish the movement’s rule and pre-empt any upcoming political arrangements that could limit its influence.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump commented on the events in the sector when asked about the appearance of Hamas elements in the streets of Gaza: “They took out two gangs that were very bad, they took them out and killed a number of gang members. It didn’t bother me much, to be honest with you. It’s okay.”

He continued: “They want to stop the problems… and they talked about this frankly.”
