The police spokesperson, Sardar Montazer Al-Mahdi, explained that these arrests were made based on reports from citizens and their increasing cooperation with security agencies, according to ‘Asr Iran.’ Al-Mahdi also noted that the police in federally administered tribal areas dealt with over 5,700 cybercrime cases, including fraud and unauthorized withdrawals, in addition to urgently following up on the attack on the ‘Nobitex’ exchange. He pointed out that the number of calls to police center 110 increased by 41% during this period, reflecting increased awareness and vigilance among citizens, with 7,850 general reports leading to these arrests.
On June 13th, Israel launched surprise airstrikes in an operation called ‘Rising Lion,’ targeting military sites and nuclear facilities in Iran, most notably the main uranium enrichment facility at Natanz. The Israeli strikes resulted in the death of several prominent nuclear scientists, military leaders, and Iranian officials, including the commander of the Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami, Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, and commander of the Aerospace Force of the Revolutionary Guards, Amir Ali Hajizadeh.
In response, Iran launched missile strikes against Israel in a military operation named ‘True Promise 3,’ targeting dozens of military sites and airbases in Israel, affirming that the operation would continue as long as necessary. Israel justified its attacks by stating that Iran had reached a ‘point of no return’ in uranium enrichment and was nearing possession of a nuclear weapon, a claim Iran denies, insisting its nuclear activities are solely for peaceful purposes.
Additionally, the United States launched an attack on three Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan on the night of June 22nd. According to Washington, ‘the attack aimed to destroy or seriously weaken Iran’s nuclear program.’ Days later, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced retaliation against the United States by striking the American ‘Al-Udeid’ base in the State of Qatar.
