This decision comes as a protest against the Brazilian not winning the award last year, according to the French network ‘GFFN’. He added, “I will be happy if my friend Ousmane Dembélé wins the award, as I have supported him from the beginning. I will watch the ceremony on TV and wish him victory.” Previously, Mbappé, the captain of the French national team, revealed that he voted for his compatriot Ousmane Dembélé, a star, to win the Best Player in the World award for 2025. The shortlist announced by ‘France Football’ magazine last August includes 30 players, among them two Arab stars: Moroccan Achraf Hakimi, a defender for Paris Saint-Germain, and Egyptian Mohamed Salah, a winger for Liverpool, in addition to eight other players from Paris Saint-Germain.
