Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna has voiced her concerns over the misuse of artificial intelligence to create fake and explicit images of celebrities.
In a statement on her X account on Wednesday, she urged for accountability in managing “AI-generated content.” Rashmika highlighted the importance of ethical use and awareness, calling the phenomenon a “moral decline” that needs addressing.
She emphasized that the internet has turned into a platform where fake visuals can easily be mistaken for real ones. “When truth can be manufactured, discernment becomes our strongest defense,” she stated.
Mandanna further remarked, “AI is a powerful tool for progress, yet its abuse to generate vulgarity and target women reflects a profound moral decay among some individuals. Remember, the internet no longer reflects the truth. It is a canvas where anything can be fabricated. Let’s rise above misuse and harness AI for a more dignified and progressive society. Choose responsibility over recklessness. If people cannot behave humanely, then severe and uncompromising penalties must be enforced.”
