Putin and Trump to Meet in Alaska for Peace Talks

Washington – Sputnik. Errol Musk responded to a question from Sputnik about whether he believes that people in Russia and the United States will one day realize that they can become friends again: “I say so.” The Kremlin and the White House earlier announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump will meet in Alaska on August 15. Russian President’s aide Yuri Ushakov stated on Saturday that it seems entirely logical for our delegation to fly over the Bering Strait, and that such an important and anticipated summit between the leaders of the two countries should be held in Alaska.

He added, “The two presidents will undoubtedly focus on discussing options for achieving a long-term peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.”

In a related context, the American CBS network reported a White House official saying that it is still possible for Volodymyr Zelensky to participate in some way in the Putin-Trump meeting.
