Putin Praises UN’s Role in Global Balance

Putin pointed out that the United Nations fulfills its mission with merit and is often the only mechanism to balance interests in the world. In his speech at the forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, Putin said: “Since its establishment 80 years ago, the United Nations continues to perform its mission with high efficiency. It is indeed a unique mechanism and often the only one to ensure the international balance of interests.”
