The ministry confirmed in a statement that the body belongs to Jihad Labad, after human remains were found scattered at the attack site. In a previous statement issued by the ministry on Tuesday, it confirmed the death of Moumen Jawad Hassouna, a member of the movement, as a result of the attack. The Qatari ministry indicated that field verification operations are ongoing to identify the remaining missing persons, committing to announce any updates as soon as they are available.
Earlier, the Qatari Ministry of Interior announced the death of a member of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) while performing his duties at the attack site, alongside several security personnel being injured.
It added: “The leaders targeted led Hamas’ terrorist activities over the years and bear direct responsibility for the acts of October 7, 2023, and the management of the war against Israel.” The Israeli army continued in its statement: “The army and Shin Bet will continue to act decisively until the Hamas organization responsible for October 7 is eliminated.”
Earlier, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir threatened to eliminate Hamas leaders abroad in light of the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.
