Radiohead, the iconic British band, revealed a European tour spanning 20 dates in November and December. This marks their first live shows since the release of their groundbreaking albums OK Computer and Kid A at the century’s turn.
“We reunited last year just for fun,” shared drummer Philip Selway on Instagram.
“After a seven-year break, it felt amazing to play our songs again and reconnect with a deep-seated musical identity within us all.”
Alongside Selway, the band features lead singer and primary songwriter Thom Yorke, guitarists Jonny Greenwood and Ed O’Brien, and bassist Colin Greenwood. They’ll perform four shows each in Madrid, Bologna, London, Copenhagen, and Berlin.
Their pivotal third album, 1997’s OK Computer, delved into themes of anxiety and alienation, signaling a shift from the Britpop era’s positivity.
Radiohead’s comeback coincides with the recent reunion of Oasis, another major British band from the 1990s, who enjoyed a critically acclaimed tour this summer.
Fans can register for tickets to Radiohead’s tour starting September 5.
