Raji published a new tweet on his official account on ‘X’ today, Wednesday, in response to Khamenei’s statement that the late Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah was ‘a great asset to the Islamic world, not just for the Shiites or Lebanon alone, and the wealth he created still remains.’ He stated: ‘It is important for us to affirm that the only remaining entity in Lebanon is the legitimate government and its irreversible decisions, foremost among them the decision to confine weapons and extend the state’s sovereignty over its entire territory, which was made in the session on August 5.’ The Lebanese Foreign Minister emphasized that ‘the Lebanese army is the only one that remains forever, and the primary defender of Lebanon, its people, and its sovereignty.’ The Iranian Supreme Leader had commemorated the first anniversary of the killing of the former Secretary-General of the Lebanese ‘Hezbollah’ Hassan Nasrallah. Khamenei affirmed that Nasrallah was ‘a great asset to the Islamic world, not just for the Shiites or Lebanon alone,’ noting that ‘despite Nasrallah’s passing, the wealth he created still remains, as Hezbollah remains and is formidable, and is an asset for Lebanon and others.’ It is noted that Hassan Nasrallah was targeted on September 27, 2024, as dozens of fighter jets dropped 83 bombs, each weighing a ton, on his underground location.
